VooDou designs: Left to right is Veve of Ogoun, associated with Warriors, soldiers, smith makers, metal workers and craftsmen. Gu is the vodun of war and patron deity of craftsmen. He was sent to earth to make it a nice place for people to live, and he has not yet finished this task.
Next is Maman Brigette. She drinks rum with hot peppers and is symbolized by a Black rooster. She protects gravestones in cemeteries if they are properly marked with a cross.
She represents Death, gravestones, cemeteries, obscenities, souls of deceased relatives
Next is the Vévé of Damballah. It acts as a "beacon" for the Loa (or one of the gods), and will serve as a loa's representation during rituals.
Next to last is Papa Legba, protector of the home and guardian of gates and crossroads. . Legba is viewed as young and virile, is often horned and phallic, and his shrine is usually located at the gate of the village in the countryside.
